Urgh. I'm hoping maybe there's a wall still needs to be built!

The pics not tallying with the floorplan is quite common with new stuff, I find. You get the same boring 5 showhouse/flat photos attached to ten or more different plot listings when new builds get marketed around here.

A technical glitch on Zoopla's website led to this couple's house being mistakenly valued at £14m - and somehow this non-event has made it to the BBC News website.

Annabel and Dan Macdonald, who own the home in Balmerino Drive, estimate its actual value to be closer to £150,000 (which is rather curious considering that a house only four doors away sold for only £82,000 in January of this year).

Cant work out if this non-story has been fabricated as publicity for Zoopla or if the couple are trying an unusual approach in actually getting rid of their gaff in Stornoway ?:

That is non-news!

As an aside, I always find it unusual when you see a £100,000 house (which sounds like its actual value, you're right) with a £50,000 car outside!

I saw this and thought of this thread. http://www.thelocal.se/20150712/this-gr ... or-a-krona

It may only cost pennies but you have to take it down and move it :)

Why is a bloke doing a selfie the second photo?

I absolutely love it. It can't be that hard to take down a house and rebuild it, can it :uhh:

Is there a better article somewhere? That one says the buyer would have to renovate it and move in, but not the bit about moving the house. It doesn't look in that bad shape really.

Sorry, I can only find the bits about moving it in Swedish. But basically the council want to build a rail track over the property, the house has been subject to varying 'save the villa' campaigns over the years but now there is no choice but to take it down and reconstruct it somewhere else. Which can definitely be done; the house we lived in during my teens had been moved. The DMSF selfie really made me laugh

It's wooden, right? Perfect for re-building as you could just replace any of the parts that were worn or damaged. Like a life-size construction kit :)) How much for shipping to France ;)

I think the door on the right, with the pink curtains, in photo 5 leads onto the furry cavern...
