I haven’t grated cheese in mine! Am I missing out?

We tend to use the stick blender for soup rather than the 4200. Usually because there’s too much liquid, as Ella says.

The blender thing comes in handy for smoothies, though the girls don’t use it and it doesn’t seem to cause a problem.

Grating stuff is so quick.

It's just so fast! I sometimes grate a whole block and freeze it.

Yes we go through a lot of cheese a week, less so now school is back though. I’m tempted to grate half a block so it can be ready grated in the fridge. Grating by hand and washing up every time is such a bore.

Ooh! I used the heater on the Kitchenaid, and that’s really satisfying. I must try this one.

I take it you all know grated cheddar can be used pretty much straight from the freezer, even for sandwiches as it defrost so fast? I hate grating cheese, but also hate the powdery coating on ready grated stuff, so it's a nice compromise.

No! I’ve never frozen grated cheddar. I will sort that out immediately.

You have to ensure it’s no more than half full for liquids. Did you?

(Well, DID YOU :))?)
I don't like to follow instructions so I'm absolutely sure that I didn't! I bought a dualit hand blender right after my soup disaster so it's all good :))

I grate a lot of at a time and keep it in the fridge but might do as Heebie does.

I like it so much because I've only got microplane graters which is good for parmesan but too fine - even the coarse one - for cheddar. It makes wishy washy grated bits whereas the M/mix makes good solid shreds on the fine or coarse grating discs.

I hope they come back in stock soon!

We bought a new espresso machine so Mr5 can take our old one to school. This one makes cappuccinos!

This isn’t for the house as such and it’s not a purchase (lease) but I took delivery of my new car today.
