It's not like there's not the space and light for that loft shower room to be walled off. It'd be fine staying with them though, there're normal facilities on the 1st floor.

I haven't got beyond £800k for a shonky upgrade of a 1930s mid-terrace.

I've looked at it a few times and just can't work out why they haven't put in a wall.

I could actually live with the loft extension thing - I don't think it's too bad. You could put up a door or screen or something.

However, what the hell is going on with their dining room table? Is that an airbag beneath it?

ETA: No, I've just seen the cues on the walls. I think it converts into a snooker table. Classy!

Ooh, I don't know. How odd. It does resemble a flotation device should the dining room suffer a severe flood. :))

The top of the table looks like it folds out which would make it enormous. It might be connected with that.

ETA. Oh. I see. :skull:

I wondered what the saggy green bit of the dining table was!

All I can think about when I see those open plan shower room things is how damp things must get. :shake:

Oh wow that mansion. I want a Palm Court very much.
Beatrix wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:04 pm Wow, that mansion. The equivalent here would easily be upwards of £5m.
Wouldn't it!

The massive ladder up to a small shelf is interesting.

I think that's the mezzanine. Cozy.

You mean the " unique mezzanine floor area for sleeping"? Roll over, break your neck from the fall - ideal!

I don’t think it is, they mention a wardrobe built into the mezzanine and the shelf only looks about a foot wide.

I mean its far from the worst thing we've ever seen on here but 400k! Not even a private garden. If they'd even put a planted border or small fence between it and the parking area it would've been an improvement

“Former vast stable block”? Someone needs to look up the meaning of the word vast.

What an awful space for so much money, I am agog at the price!

Welcome to London by the Sea! (That absolutely is the "mezzanine" going by the floor plan.)

That looks really familiar - either it's been on here before or something very very similar has. The sleeping mezzanine isn't too bad for a teenage bedroom - it's not double bed sized, but it's the fish-eye lens making it look like a shelf I think.

Yes, either there's some weird foreshortening going on due to use of a wide angle lens or it's a mezzanine to be used only by a short skeleton.

This is the twaddle that really stood out for me
Taking centre stage however is the bright and spacious, open plan living area which has vaulted ceilings and offers a fantastic space for entertaining. Windows run along the easterly wall to fill the room with light,
It's almost exactly the opposite of that. There's three tiny windows with a view of some cars.
