That would have certainly been an odd moment to capture that man in during an estate agent shoot!

Those bannisters are horrible. I don’t mind some of the pink though. That massive room looks so cold! They need to put more stuff in it.

This house isn’t unusual in any way. In fact it’s very beautiful inside (we visited it today), but it’s unusual in a very Australian way - it’s a prize home. Charities build them all the time and then sell off raffle tickets so you can win them. We bought a load of them today as the house was amazing and in such a lovely location (about 50 mins north of where we live): https://www.endeavourlotteries.com.au/e ... foundation

I wondered if it might, Wendy. It’s such a good idea. What you find here is that the tradies who physically build the house donate their time free of charge too to the charity gets more $$.

That's beautiful, Est!

The Devon house is gorgeous as well, but I'm not sure I'd like to be that open to the weather in England. Might be a bit cold.

I was convinced the Devon house must be a scam, it turns up on so many websites and I’ve never clicked on it.

Wasn't there a thing a while back where someone here (in the UK I mean, not a turtle) raffled their house but then didn't sell enough tickets so cancelled it?

Doing it for charity is much nicer.

Oh my. That bathroom.

I also like the way it's in a "leafy" suburb but all traces of anything leafy have been removed from the garden. :( But hey, there's a shower out there. Score.

Why would it not be a bungalow? Other than its modern boxiness. :uhh:

Yes it's a total garage / annexe job.

The garden is awful. Awful.

I can't work out what the bathroom walls are lined with.

It looks like loads of those shower panels that were a thing for a while as a cheap option instead of tiles. The design resembles an oil-on-water pattern like you used to get on the inside cover of hardback books. Or a green marbled onyx egg.

And the vase matches. It's all hideous.
