It looks like my shutters may be arriving early too, so hopefully I only need to use the stick-on baby blackout blinds for three weeks

It's all coming together magnificently!
Just as a coda to our conversation about crazy prices for the same house, an Apostle, again on our old road, has hit the million mark (I think they're nuts and won't get that but what do I know? )

Wow! It's immaculate and looks great to me but still... £1M They forgot the painters tape in the utility room though

Wow! That price though, haha.
It makes mine look a bit silly with all my colours everywhere. Meeting the builder to see my very-much-not-£1m house in two hours.

Also I'm not sure I'd like to sleep with a picture in between my pillow and the headboard

It is like every other recently refurbished house around here. It's like there's a tick list. F&B colours. Crittal doors. Kitchen island with three barstools, belfast sink and industrial lighting. Sofa in kitchen. Roll top bath. Shaker style utility. Marble bathroom. Even those twin ikea children beds!

Re: Renovating Nince Towers
I missed that
It doesn't make yours look silly, quite the opposite! You will have a lovely house you have not paid crazy money for.

Also, and I only realised this when I saw one pop up on L3 with a tall bloke, but the ceiling height in the loft conversion is really not great because the roofline doesn't allow for it.

The loft bedroom will be so hot on a day like today unless they have installed aircon.

Re: Renovating Nince Towers
It’s looking really good! Some of the paint work is a bit shit so they’re sorting that out tomorrow, and it needs more cleaning, but in general it’s pretty much there. (Ignore the incomplete cooker hood - it’s been removed for painting purposes.)
