Yes I don't mind. Less of a pain in the arse than taking the quilt over off and washing it and putting it back on

Re: Ideal Homes- Show Us Your New Purchases!
I also like the rug, and your air fryer looks very grand, five.
I have ordered curtains. They won't be here for 4-6 weeks, so I can only show you a sample, but they are for the dining room, and will be thermal lined and have triple pinch pleats, so loads of fabric, which I I hope will keep the heat in.
This is the rug I got for in there - the real one is still creased from transit - and I'm trying to decide on a lampshade for an existing standard lamp. I was going to order one of these, but can't decide on a colour, or even if I still think it will suit the room. What do you think? I'd go for the largest one, so it would be drum shaped.

Thanks. It's from the catchily-titled Curtains Made For Free :)). I haven't used them before, but they make them up to your measurements and even send them with the hooks in if you get the pinch pleated ones, so you just have to hook them onto the rail. There's a choice of linings and styles.

Re: Ideal Homes- Show Us Your New Purchases!
Thanks to you too Five. I've ordered samples of the lampshade fabric in olive, teal and mustard. I know the teal one won't go, but I love the teal shade, and might find a home for it somewhere if I try. The red one is too dark and I don't want too much red in the room (as well as the curtains and rug there will be a red leather chair when it arrives), so that leaves olive or mustard, which looks more like gold, or possibly black. The fireplace is black, and the ceiling light has brass in it, so the gold one might pick that out. I don't want things too 'matchy', but neither do I want something completely random as it will be quite large.

I think the mustard/goldy one would go best with the rug.

MrE’s work sent him a gorgeous (huge) peace lily as a get well soon present so I’ve bought this pot and stand to put it in.

I just saw that some of the sizes/colourways are in the clearance section on the Case website (they are the manufacturer of the rugs) and are now half price.

For Sb1 for his 25th from our friend UncoolJohnArt
(I've also ordered one for Sb2 for Christmas and one for me as it's our tower block on Broadway Market, where we lived until 2009 and where Sb2 was born. It's a very special area and home to us all)

Love that, Marth. Is that Welshpool House? I had so many friends that lived there when I was little (I went to a local primary school).

Really?? What primary did you go to?
I lived on the 16th floor of Welshpool house for years. Me and Sb1's dad lived there and I brought sb1 home from the Homerton on the day he was born. Sb2 was born in my bedroom there.
That is why my name was "Floored" on Facebook :))

Oh! My primary school was St Paul's (which seems to be called St Paul's With St Michael's now). I used to walk home via Broadway Market. The market definitely wasn't trendy then!
