Beatrix, the piano looks brilliant and the fact you bought with inheritance from your Gran is just lovely.

I bought a load of spice jars that fit in the new kitchen drawers. (I am about to rearrange alphabetically).
So pleasing.

Pasta spice?
If your back's against the wall, turn around and write on it.

I've had that before, Baa. Good for a sort of aglio olio pasta.

I have those jars! My handwriting is shit so I also bought round clear labels to put on the lids so I could print them

Re: Ideal Homes- Show Us Your New Purchases!
Ooh, they are very stylish, Est.
I have stopped faffing about looking for a dining table and bought this one. It extends to sit 12, although probably will never need to. It's a bit of a leap for me, as I've always gone for solid wood, but I really like the idea of not needing a protector or place mats all the time. When I got my head around not getting wood, I decided to go for black, so it doesn't look too 'fake', and as the fireplace in the dining room is black, so it should tie in with that.
I have also ordered four of these. I wondered about getting 6, but the point of getting new stuff is that time times out of ten there are only 2 of us eating, and I don't want to clutter the place up with lots of spare chairs.
I'm feeling a bit unsure about all of it, but the bullet is bitten.

Thank you both. I swear there is not a dining table or chair in the world that I haven't considered over the past year
