This is really exciting and I think your plan for the downstairs is really sensible. I much prefer a kitchen / diner to a multipurpose living area.

I've really enjoyed the lean to horrors as well.

As Roma said, it didn’t look too bad in the “before” pictures, so I’m looking forward to seeing the end result.

It's extra exciting smashing it all down and rebuilding in one go.

More pics in (I still haven’t been back as I’m staying an hour away and it’s not particularly safe on site yet!)

It’s fair to say I had no idea what I was taking on when I bought this place

I think I will be able to get back after Easter. My kitchen is being delivered on Thursday as the prices were going to get hiked after Easter. Presumably it will be stowed away in my living room!

I was just about to say nine will be going back to a completely different house. How exciting.

Wow they've done loads!

Will you keep the steel? I've just been sat in my friend's kitchen admiring hers. They kept it visible and painted it - they live in an Edwardian house so a similar age to yours?

I’ve thought about it but I’m not sure. It’s in the office/spare room and I think it’s more of a kitcheny thing to do.

I am quite terrified/excited - it doesn’t seem real!

Can anyone help me with white paint please?

I’m not properly renovating the bathroom but it’s on the list for a couple of years’ time. Meanwhile I desperately need to paint over the hideous flat grey paint. It’s an east-facing room so it looks awful in the afternoon.

I think I’ll just paint it a Dulux white for now, but which one? The floor tiles have grey in them, so warm whites won’t really work, but it’s a cold-looking room in the afternoon so I’m really stuck. Is Natural White too warm to work with grey-ish floor tiles?

The walls tiles are just white metro tiles.

Or I suppose I could just forget white and use a Dulux sage green which is still quite cheap and cheerful

Sage and grey would be nice.

I love F&B strong white which I had colour matched, it’s quite a greige white, grey undertones but warm.
