You can follow behind them though, you don't need to wait til they've finished everything. Get them to do kitchen and bathroom first as Rosy says.

It’s a small flat - I can’t really see it working. The boxes of kitchen stuff would need to still be in the kitchen in order for them to be able to have room to pack the rest of the flat.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant for loading the lorry and stuff too. The packing and the loading happens at the same time, it isn't two separate processes in my experience. You do just kind of clean up around them but they go staggeringly quick.

Wouldn't they take them down to the van? But yes, packing the day before worked fine for me, just a slightly odd night with everything boxed up!

Hmm I’ll have to speak to them tomorrow as there isn’t really anywhere to park either, so they may not be able to park up for several hours.

Ah, I'd definitely let them know that bit then as I imagine if they're packing then they pack and load straight into the van at the same time. I'm sure they have plans for that kind of scenario, though.

FUCK.

My buyer has gone awol and hasn’t instructed his solicitor. No one has been able to get hold of him. My seller’s solicitor leaves for the day at 12.

I think he’s pulled out and I think I’m cursed.

Oh noooo Nine! I have everything crossed. You've been so so unlucky! I'd there another solicitor in the firm who can do the exchange if they get hold of him?

Oh god! Fingers crossed it’s nothing sinister and he’s just in meetings or something.
