Happy to all the movers (and shakers!). I threw money at cleaners when I moved - given the ridiculous amounts we were spending it seemed like a drop in the ocean by then.

I hope you’re all settled in and I’m always waiting for photos. :))

Nothing wrong with grey ;)

We’ve sorted a lot more out today. Still quite a few boxes left though.

Hoping that Cluef and nine are safely moved and settling in too.

Grey is nice when done properly & combined with other shades but some people take it to extremes & their houses just look like black & white photos :)

Thank you! It was all pretty smooth on the day. I completed on the sale by 9.30am and the purchase by about 10.30. The house was utterly filthy when I got in though, and my parents and friend were absolute heroes helping me get the place liveable. I’m still going to book a deep clean though — I don’t think they can have ever properly cleaned it in five years. You couldn’t tell when their stuff was in and I thought they might have honoured our contract :grump:

I love it though, it has bags of potential and I can’t wait to put my mark on it. It’s so quiet :love2: I have zero storage here though (I had a lot of built-in storage before) so I’m having to be quite creative. My brother stayed tonight and we just sampled the local crusty boozer

Here are some pics.

I just want to pick a color I will be happy with for twenty years. Not a lot to ask, is it?

Exciting, Nine! Definitely book the deep clean. I wish I had done this when we moved into our house. I'd like to do it now, but R thinks the cost is ridiculous and starts cleaning manically when I suggest it. So, I suggest it a lot lately.

Congrats nine! The house has such a pretty front and the garden has so much potential. It’s looks a really good size. So nice to be in there for the start spring.

I truly sympathise on your filthy vendors. I had made a mental note to get cleaning in the contract if I ever move again but you had it and they still didn’t clean.

See you in Croyden Ikea soon? :weewee:

The far end of the garden gets the sun all day and is quite secluded so I’m thinking about taking down that shed (its roof felt blew off in the gales and I have another shed thing anyway). I could then make a nice little terrace area. Obviously the patio near the house is fucked but I’m tearing down the lean-to anyway so that will all be changed.

Congratulations, nine! I like the sound of your plans.

All these vendors leaving their houses filthy :verm:.

It’s disgraceful, isn’t it, leaving the place a mess?

I know everyone's standards are different but at least chuck a duster and hoover round.

Congrats Nine!

Ugh people are so grim. I hope the house they moved to was equally filthy.
