That is an amazing view Chicky.

I also thought Est was still barely in her new build but I am blaming the insanity of 2020, I’m fairly sure it is only just April.

Gah, the drive by didn’t rule it out. I’m waiting on a call back from the agent to arrange a time to go and view. I really need to go back and find my posts on this thread when we were selling and moving back in 2018 don’t I?

Wow! That’s really well priced for the size. Is it out of the way a bit too. I love it and think you should move there.

We have idly considered moving but we love where we are so now we’re getting a quote on adding a 2nd story with 2 more bedrooms, bathroom and a lounge room as well as being in the middle of bashing out our walk in robe and getting built ins instead. It’s messy

It is a bit out of the way - semi-rural and will add about 20 mins to MrE’s commute, but not too much to mine (2 stations further north than we are now) The kids would also need to move schools (the nearest primary is good but I think we would have to go private for secondary). The house is smaller than our current one, but it’s got a 6 car shed as well as the double garage. And for context our current block is 610m2 and this one is 3000m2. We would also need to decide whether to sell our current or hold on to it and rent it out (I think numbers stack up both ways to be honest).

You sound fairly interested in it Est!
We've started getting in quotes for removal people. Had someone round yesterday £960 for two bed house moving about a mile.

We're doing the packing so it's everything apart from that.

I was thinking it was a bit at the high end but it's difficult to find comparisons. We're hopefully got someone else coming next week. Also though distance wouldn't add too much unless it involved overnight stops.

Thanks Beatrix that's worth knowing. We're in Norfolk and not the posh bit! Also no garage.

Earlier this year (late feb) we paid around £800 for a two bed terrace (nothing in the loft or cellar, no garage) For one bloke packing and two moving on the day. They disassembled and reassembled everything too. We’re in Cheshire (but not a posh bit :)) )

£960 for a normal move a mile away without packing sounds insane to me! And you can't get much more Southern than me :))

I forgot the context of Cluef's post at first and thought 'bloody hell, property really is cheap up north'.

Our car also only cost 47 pence, as there was nothing in the boot or glovebox either.

Thanks Cluef & Derek. Glad it's not just me that was thinking it was a bit steep.

That sounds a lot speedy. We’re North East but are paying £1300 for full packing for a 5 bed house (3 days) including the piano and moving about 6 miles.

Next month, we'll have lived here two years and still haven't even nearly completed the decorating. :shh:
