What do you use yours for/store in it?

Now that I have it I'm a bit stumped as to what to do with it  partly because S keeps trashing anything I put on it. I've already had to remove all our wine/bottle opening stuff from the drawer as he was trying to use a pointy bottle opener as a hair brush.

I do love that the top is tiled. It makes it seem much better that it probably is (for that it cost!).

Ours is just positioned in the middle of the room like an island. It is a lot bigger. We use the surface for kitchen tasks (chopping, weighing etc), and then the shelf underneath has our wine rack, some food storage jars and some ceramic oven dishes etc on it. Its been an effort getting W to ignore all that stuff though.

Ella, my main idea was an extra place to put food/drinks when friends are over and it'll also be useful in that you can wheel it to the living room where our dining table is.

It's not tall enough for using to chop/prep. I thought about putting the fruit bowl on it but I don't trust S. It may just need to be bare for a little while until he's bored of it.

I bought some stuff before Christmas! Mainly for my bar trolley (which is currently holding the telly until I order a TV cabinet thing), so none of this is actually out yet :george:

This tray (not the stand) to sit on top of the trolley

This shaker and matching ice bucket and toooools

I also found some very plain, simple, not too enormous martini glasses in the sale, so got the last box of 6 (for the price of four!)

I also got a set of these red ball lights, initially for Christmas decoration type stuff, but also as they go with the red/grey theme in my living room area. It's a really short string though, so I've ordered another set to connect them together (also in the sale)

And I got this nifty 'pinch and pour' cup set (squeeze them and a little spout appears), largely because they match the other green kitchen stuff :l: but should also be useful, as I only have one (1) measuring jug at the moment.

I have everything-envy. I really like smal's rug and paint colours - I've got a thing about blues and greens together at the moment. And you can never have enough measuring jugs!

I am trying not to spend money as we need to pay stuff off but we do neeeeed bedside tables and a headboard.

Very nice Epp!

I like those cups :greenkitchen: We only have ancient plastic cups that I melted the numbers off with hot fondue once so I definitely deserve a new set. C&B? Looks like they have them on sale...

Yes, Jet, C&B! They are on sale, which is why I snapped up a set. I'd actually seen them in a shop in town earlier yesterday for full price, so I wasn't going to hang about :))

Thanks all :) I am hoping to be able to order a sideboard/unit, hallway console table and coffee table soon. Not to mention the cupboard I'd like for the bathroom and chester for the bedroom. WHY isn't any of the things I have my eye on in the sales? Not one bit of it! :lg: I really don't want to spend $$$ more on this stuff. I'd rather have a holiday! :firstworldprobz:

I love Epp's cocktails stuff. And Smal's green paint. And Baa's sofa. I'd love a new sofa at some point. Mine is awful. The Chesterfield is lovely.

My mil bought us the gtech sw02 as part of our Christmas presents and it is amazing

So light easy to empty and I can whizz around with it. I can't use the hoover it is too heavy and this means I can keep on top of the floors without bothering Mr D all the time and I feel like I am doing housework

It is lighter then my steam mop

Those are so spring-like Azu. Nice purchases Epp.

I LOVE H&M home at the moment. I picked these up yesterday whilst looking for a plain white t-shirt George needed for school (which they didn't have :ella: )

Perfectly plain laundry bag with handles:

Cotton storage bag (for yarn, I think)

This grey chambray duvet for G with looks nice with the red polka dot pillows up the thread. It has genius gaps at the corners of the top of the duvet so you can get the duvet in the cover easily - this is so clever, all duvets should be like this one!

and I got some smaller white cotton cosmetic bags for the bathrooms that I can't find online. All good prices despite the US mark-ups.

I don't like those duvet covers with holes in, myself. Your purchases are very nice though, as are Azu's bowls.
