I love Epp's tray and her red lights.

My green walls plans have gone well awry. I don't know where I'm going with it. :panic:

I like Epp's jugs :flirt:

Dizzy - that looks very practical. I always live in really tiny places so something like that would be good in lieu of a hoover.

Every duvet case I've ever come across in Sweden has those gaps, Emma :)) so yes to the Scandi. I couldn't believe it when I realised how fucking cumbersome it is to get a UK one on.

I just turn the pillowcase inside out, put my hands inside into the corners, grab the corners of the pillow using my hands like puppet mouths and flip the case right side out while pulling it down. I do this with my duvet cover as well. I don't have corner issues.

I am utterly at a loss as to these duvet gaps you speak of. My duvet cover has a gap - one big one at one end into which I stuff my duvet, what do you all meeeeean?

No, there are two holes at the other end so the top corners of the naked duvet poke through and look really messy. Putting duvet covers on is perfectly easy enough without them :verm:.

It's not so much the putting on of duvets, more when the duvet gets scrunched up. It's annoying to grab the duvet up in the middle of the night and only get the cover.

I will take photos for you Dez. It doesn't look untidy though Ella, you can barely see the holes.

I am not sure I have ever seen Ella and emma ever disagree on a house-related thing before! :scrap:

How does the duvet get scrunched up? I don't think I've ever had a major problem with this. I don't tend to get a lot of the problems people have with putting duvet covers on duvets, though. Mr F has often remarked on how all his previous girlfriends would make him help them change the bed whereas I can do it all on my own in about 2 minutes flat. I guess maybe I've just had a lot of practice. :boardingschoolscars:

These holes sound very odd. I don't like the idea of them.

I have those holes on one of my duvet covers and I like them. But I am able to change the duvet covers that do not have them.

Oh, I SEE. Thank you
(Don't worry about pictures Emma).

The duvet never gets scrunched up when it's just me, but B manages to ruck it up good and proper, so I see the thinking behind it. Mind you, I just grab a couple of corners through the cover and give it a good shake to sort it out, so I can't see it as a must~have.

Duvet tales of the not~so rich and famous, I am quite the fascinating.

I've had them on ikea bedding and I sewed them up too; bits of duvet corner poking out look horrible :snooty:

I'm so looking forward to moving into a lovely, well decorated bedroom with space for nice things and furniture that isn't identikit cheap Ikea. So I plan to buy some really, really cheap Ikea chesters and then paint/stain them to make them not identikit any longer. Googling "Ikea rast makeovers" has been very inspiring :))
