They are lovely, Marth. Did you have to sand them, and what paint did you use, please?

I have a very similar one, but it has a splurge of melted varnish on the top where something leaked onto it in a cupboard. It could be really nice if I painted it.

I don't bother with the sanding, though I clean and would sand the varnish.
I used a Little Greene Egg Shell for that (it's left over back gate paint) and it's really hard wearing and goes on well. I think the yellow one is a normal gloss but I don't remember now. That has lots of sewing things in it and has stood the test of using it really well.

I love the Little Green eggshell. I painted this entire fireplace using it with no sanding. It covered the wood, the horrible tiles and the faux brass trim and again is in perfect condition.

Lovely!
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

They’re so pretty, Marth. That yellow is  in the fireplace.

My side board is in place and looking a bit bare so I’ve ordered this.

Very Alice in Wonderland! You could add photo frames, a vase, stack of books? Which room is the sideboard in? And what are you putting inside the sideboard? New storage is always so exciting!

I have a large tray (filled with candles and a pretty box of matches), a vase and fruit bowl on my sideboard. I also have a massive cake stand and cake dome on it because there's nowhere else to home it but it's in the kitchen/family room.

It’s in our entry hall against the new panelled wall. I have a black and gold vase on it so far and meant to pick this tray up this weekend but forgot.

They look great, Marthus. I really need to upcycle a small bookshelf that's in dayglo orange pine but I've been putting it off for a year now. I might pay someone to do it for me.

I've coveted this little this side table for ages and finally a sale alert popped up yesterday and bought it (I hope! It went right out of stock after I paid).

I seem to have developed a bit of an obsession with side tables after not having any for years.

Oh, super cute! And what Five asked. It looks a bit HAY/Yamazaki, but I’m guessing it’s neither.

It’s Kristina Dam. I got it for half the price of pretty much every other site it’s listed on :perky: It’s been shipped and will arrive tomorrow! Good timing for my house guest!

I do love that Hay / Yamasaki home vibe!

2 little "found object" houses from one of the artists houses I went to today, that fit nicely on some alcove shelving in front of an oil painting from a friend. I know it's a bit twee to have too much of a theme but I couldn't resist them :hbeat:
