I love the houses, Del. I think you can get away with it as they're quite abstract, rather than twee in and of themselves, which is when I often dislike themes.

I bought a new painting/ collage to go on the shelves in my study - it's the one on the middle shelf.

This should be with us on Wednesday. I nearly bought it when we got the keys to the house but I'm glad I waited as it was on sale on Wednesday and D got me an NHS code so I got nearly £300 off the list price.

I have ordered this from Brandalley with 84% off. £24 down from £150, which is a good deal by any standards :)). I haven't decided what I'm doing with the bedrooms when I decorate, but this should fit with any colour scheme and I can use it in the caravan if it really doesn't work anywhere.

I got this to go in the hall. I wanted a rechargeable one as to put it where I want it would mean a trailing cable that would spoil the look.

It's lovely - small but weighty - but it's already been on charge for 9.5 hours instead of the 7 they say it will take. I don't know if that means it's faulty, or whether it's just that the first charge takes longer

Bad Dog was left unsupervised in our bedroom by Someone when he needed a walk. So he chewed a hole in my favourite bedding (and feather duvet :ella: ) I have ordered these as a result (and stitched up the duvet)

Trying to resist buying every bit of souvenir tat I see before I leave, I do want a couple of pieces of artwork or posters that remind me of living out here. I haven’t actually bought much in the way of that over the years! Anyway, I saw this watercolour of Pike Place Market in a local gallery yesterday and it is now mine. I like how it’s of the famous sign but also a bit gloomy and not as twee as most other posters or pictures of it.

I like that a lot, Epp.
