Beautiful, Rosa!

And that's a lovely fireplace, Daire.

They look lovely, Rosa and that's a great find, Daire.

I scored a nest of G Plan tables for £32 this week! I will do pictures when they arrive.

Yesterday I bought a duvet cover in the Zara sale which is a lovely, light cotton but I've just put it on the bed and it's too bloody big. Like the last duvet cover I bought. My duvet is a standard size so I don't know why this keeps happening.

Next up I need to find a cover for my weighted blanket. I love it but I'm prone to night sweats so don't want to sleep under it without a cover. Helpfully, it's not a standard size so I think my best bet is to buy a duvet cover that's close in size and have it altered.

Great bargain, Toast.

Would you recommend your weighted blanket and, if so, where did you buy it?

I keep getting the too big duvet thing too! It's so annoying.

I would, Lora. I love it and I think it's helping me to sleep too (hence the need for a cover as currently I'm using a sheet underneath it and it's much better without).

I got it as a gift but it came from Amazon. Mine is a single and it's the lightest weight and for me that's just right. My friend bought a heavy, double for her mum for Christmas and I found that too much. It made me feel a bit claustrophobic. Definitely worth trying it out if you can, although I realise that's not all that easy!

I'll see if there's a label on it next time I move it and will let you know.

Thanks! I reckon Berty would really benefit. She currently has a double comforter (I think?) which goes on top of her duvet, doubled over, to add weight but it gets too hot.

I have a theory that manufacturers of pillows and duvets are gradually decreasing the length/width of their pillows and duvets making them ever so slightly smaller to cuts costs. I found that when I bought rectangular pillows last from M&S that were inches shorter than the cases that perfectly fit my previous pillow set :conspiracy: :sherlock:

On topic, I like Daire mantle and rosa’s chairs (and the bookcase/books behind them  )

I spent loads on a weighted blanket for J and he doesn’t really get on with it. :lg:

Your reading nook looks very cosy, Rosa! And the fireplace is super, Dáire.

We’ll keep it for now thanks, chaps, as he has actually tried it just on his legs the last couple of nights. He wants to like it so we need to carry on experimenting. It’s lovely quality though. I’ll find my seller info.

Look at ZZZNest on Amazon. Or any with tiny diamond sections sewn in, so the filling can't shift about. I'm on my second as I wanted a heavier one, and I love this one.

I have the biggest one on this link, but the smaller one looks a good weight for kids

I just ordered this for S (a surprise - I'll give it to him for his anniversary present) for our new door keys:

We'll get them 1 month today :disco:

When Mr5 moved here, I gave him a keychain in the shape of Michigan with that song title on it.

Congratulations on your new house!

Can I see your G-Plan tables, Toast?

I keep meaning to get one of those weighted blankets for Zirk. I think they would help him sleep.

I recently got a new fridge as ours died. The new one is red and a different shade of red to my Le Creuset accessories. So I sold them on eBay and bought these:
