Yes they help distract from the ugly microwave 😬 which was I was going to get rid of, but the children use it and can’t reach the built in one, so we’re stuck with it!

So cute! I might get one to go next to my monster!

I like your green jug! I've got two white ones the same.

Ah! I like that your kids are self-sufficient enough to use the microwave themselves.

I had two microwaves until about a month ago then I managed to burn something in one of them and now it has been relegated to the garage as I can't get the stink out of it.

It was very useful having two as I tend to batch cook stuff and it meant I could reheat a portion of the main meal plus cook some veg to go with it at the same time :))

Lovely plants. Where is your star from please, I love it!
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

Emma, I like my children to be independent but then I lose control of how much hot chocolate my daughter consumes! I’ve had to have words with her about her sugar consumption (actually I should do a thread  ).

Yes get a baby one!
I love that little jug, my boss gave it to me. It’s such a pleasing shape and cheerful colour.

I have today finally inherited this bureau :love2: It was my gran’s, and my parents brought it home from Austria when I was about 18 when she died, so I associate it with her house as well as my family one. My brother has now had it for about 10 years, but now needs the space it was occupying, so finally it’s my turn. Sisterhood of the travelling bureau

I’m so pleased, it’s beautiful and almost glows in what was previously a very dark corner, although this won’t be its final spot (there is a chair too).

Gorgeous. It really goes against the blue (although it won't be staying there).

It does glow against the blue! It's so nice to have special family furniture. (I mean, I don't have any from my family because but I do really love the idea of it.)
