That's a great transformation Tsu, shows how the same units can look very different!

Thanks all.

I've just had a phone call from our flooring people. They're closing as of today so we will have to move in onto concrete floors :(

At least we have the fridge freezer and washing machine being delivered tomorrow.

Hurrah for the kitchen and the fridge and freezer, Tsu. Maybe you can get a few cheap rugs and runners for now?

Be prepared for a lot of dust, Tsu, if it’s anything like our place was - we moved in on Friday but couldn’t get flooring sorted until the Monday. I’m not sure dust is the word but there was a powdery film on all the concrete and my niece ran back and forth in the living room leaving dusty handprints on the walls  It was cute but grimy. C didn’t build the bed until the flooring was in so we put a sheet down on the floor before putting the mattress down to keep it clean.

Rhod, I love your picture wall :hbeat:

OMG I wanted to order some bar stools for the kitchen island but the ones I wanted have a 9 week lead time on pretty much every website and well who knows if online stores and deliveries will be going them. So I idly looked on eBay and found exactly what I wanted, second hand and free delivery! They look in pretty good condition too but I can easily clean them up if they have a few knocks and marks :weewee:

That looks fantastic Tsu.

And good work Emma! Much better to get second hand if possible too.

They arrived today - I hadn’t chased the seller and thought they’d turn up whenever he could do it and wasn’t expecting them but obviously was in :))

We put our coat rack up, just inside the front door, weeks after I bought it (as I had been planning to get the builders to do it). It's not fallen down yet!

Liv and George have insisted on eating all meals at the island. Socially distanced children in our own house :))

Have you found a place for your metropolitan line hat rack?

It’s still at my parents house. They were going to bring it and stay with us this Easter. One day I’ll get it on a wall - I think I bought it in about 2013 :mog:
