Of course!

That metals house is made even more strange by whatever they've done to the photos that makes them all look like a virtual rendering rather than an actual photo. Are those copper risers on the stairs too?!

That's a house that doesn't know what it wants to be. Needless to say I hate it.

When I was at university my head lecturer bought and converted this chapel. He wanked on endlessly about it and eventually hired a coach so we could all go and see it  . There was a tv programme on C4 in the mid 00s called Britains best home or something and the judging panel really slated it. No one liked him very much so we were all greatly amused. I'm not sure if he owns it now or not. Anyway, its beautiful from the outside but really quite unpleasant inside. Where the piano is he planned to be a 'gallery space' , the pretentious wanker :mog:

The decor is awful. Bits of it look like a killing room.

It’s such a mishmash! Part corporate away-day venue, part old people’s home.

It could be so beautiful though. Although I don't think I could live somewhere that would have seen such grief within its walls.

For context he was a bit of a perv and had been married 3 times. His first two wives had died :look:. Obviously this sent us wild with speculation

The thing I remember from the tv assessment was that it looked like an office development inside and it really does! It looked a bit odd then and its dated abysmally

The garden is basically a graveyard (they moved the headstones i think).

I'm rarely, if ever, a fan of chapel conversions for lots of reasons.

Oh, god, yes. That bedroom with the single bed and satin bedspread. I really don’t understand what is going on in photo 4 either.

Tbf, I don't think he owns it anymore, some fb stalking says he lives somewhere else now. So hes probably not responsible for bed spreads.

From memory photo 4 was some built in storage/display around the mezzanine area. Its unbearably ugly!

It’s so strange inside. And totally at odds with the exterior.

My parents owned a flat in a church redevelopment and theirs looked relatively normal. They were on the ground floor and had a great window in the living room.

The bit with the purple carpet totally looks like an office.

It's been done horribly but I'd love to live in a church conversion.

I don't think I've ever seen a good church conversion.

They all seem either a weird layout, or poky rooms or windows in odd places or done in a way that makes them look dated almost immediately.

That's what I always feel too. Too many compromises a lot of the time.

There is a beautiful church conversion near me.

The interior looks so cheaply done, like everything has been constructed in MDF.

A local architect has built his own home, he's changed the original roof and is now being ordered to take it down. The house is so fugly but I laughed at the comment that it's not in keeping with the local area. The local area for context is an ugly overpriced (paying for the view) eighties new build estate with no local amenities.
