Re: House Buying Is More Stressful Than Divorce, Death or Bankruptcy
Emma I am only imagine how amazing that must feel!
Mine is still looking promising. There was a slight blockage which I manage to pin down after numerous phone calls... my vendor's solicitor claims he was not informed I had a new buyer (five days after the other one dropped out - a month ago!) and had parked the work! Fortunately he now knows he needs to pick it up again sharpish. Both my buyer and vendor want to exchange at the end of January.

Thank you! I got the call when I was in the playground for pick up - everyone has been asking me for months what's going on with the move so they all high-fived me
Nine ! I know you were planning to sell then move after but is it now feasible to tie the two together? That would make it all very neat.

Oh Emma! That's amazing, I'm so so pleased for you. What a relief. The stressful bit is over, finally. Although don't get defrauded of a quarter of a million quid between now and completion #stilltraumatised

Re: House Buying Is More Stressful Than Divorce, Death or Bankruptcy
I forgot to say - looking over the paperwork for my purchase, I noticed the name of my vendor (D.ean) is misspelled "D.eal". By his own solicitor, and on everything. I texted him to let him know and he replied "What the actual..." then quickly "How is that even possibly a name" and then "On phone to him now"

I don't think anyone who read it has forgotten I think it was back in July/August? When our offer on the house was accepted

Yes emma! That’s fantastic!
Sounds like all is progressing well too nine so a tentative hurrah for you too!
Our house isn’t even on Rightmove yet and we’ve already got 5 viewings booked in. It makes life so much easier if we can sell ours so I’m desperately hoping someone wants it.

It all happened just as I had my legalities in place so it was firmly on my mind when I paid my solicitor.
Fantastic news Emma.
That sounds great, Chicky. Five views! I had none, dropped to a fixed price and the only viewer I had bought it.
