Sounds like it's moving (ha!) in the right direction, speedy.

We are waiting for the new mortgage offer to come in the post and for news of the funds being released. I've been in touch with a company that does house renovations, they won't be able to start the work until January but I sent them an email and they asked for details of what we need doing, so I sent a list over. Depending on the quote will determine how much they do but at the very least I would like new staircases, loft ladder/boarding (ideally I'd like to make this a room of it's own with ladder access but I suspect that is out of budget)/ new internal doors and a patio. We already have new porch windows/door and back door due to be installed on the 9th so I'm hoping we have the money by then or it will need to go on a credit card.

Fingers crossed for the quote. Still no news on exchange. So reckon Thursday is going to be another day of re-arranging leave, contacting removals and utilities.

Thanks everyone. Move is set for Friday. I'm going into work for most of the day as the removal people can only have one other person in the house with them. Thank goodness I've got work to go to otherwise I don't know where I'd be allowed to hang out until I could move in!
They found a slight hitch with our sellers new build (all sorted now) hence the late time of the exchange.
Mr Speedy is just popping into town later as soon the solicitor lets him know how much they need from us.
