It looks amazing, Sal! Is the island where your dining table used to be?

I had to think about that, its actually where the window was in the old dining room so the table was just in front of that.

Wow! So much more space. It really does look brilliant. (And my kitchen still needs a few bits of snagging after 9 months. The downside of becoming friendly with the builder :)) )

That looks lovely! Although I actually thought that the chimney looks quite funky in the blue. ;-)

My niece said that "ooh I love the blue chimney"

I have been outside to take some pictures of the garden work they've done. It bumped up the bill quite a bit but i think it looks really nice, and properly finishes it off.

The stairs in the second picture have still to get a handrail put on.

It looks great outside. And definitely worth getting it all done at once, soon you can just relax and enjoy everything.

I have a child's taste in decor.

Oh it’s lovely Sal! It might not feel like it, and maybe you’ve been sparing us some angst, but it really feels like it’s come together so smoothly and quickly for you. Your builders seem to have been brilliant. :fc:

It's all looking brilliant Sal - I was momentarily a fan of the blue extractor too :))

The outside looks fab as well - that's exactly the kind of thing where I'd try and cut costs thinking I'd do it myself and end up being depressed by a muddy wreck of a back garden for months while I did nothing - you were wise to get it all done at the same time.

Definitely wise to get it all done at the same time. Nearly there!

This was my original plan  I couldn't really work out what would need to be done with the garden once the extension was built but the builders were good with suggestions.

The builders have been great, they have been here every single day and you can always see what they've done. It doesn't feel quick to me living through it but when I hear what other people have dealt with (Pip's friend!) I can appreciate how fast they've been. My neighbours commented the other day about how fast they have been and how little disruption there's been so that's a relief.

That looks great. I love the decking. Really finishes it off and you now have a lovely new outside space to sit.

What do the stairs lead to?
