Picnic tableware

I've wanted some new picnic plates/bowls for ages. I'm fed up of using the kids Toy Story and Princess ones but every bloody year I leave it to late and the ones I want have sold out.

My other issue is that most sets come for 4 people and I need 5 (or 6)

I love lemons printed on things so I'd wanted these but I drove to 4 stores today and none of them have them any more as apparently, the summer season is over now. They were sold singly so I could have got exactly as many as I needed plus some serving bowls.

I quite like these but they're only available as a set of 4

So far I've checked the supermarkets websites, Wilko, amazon, ebay, Sass and Belle and John Lewis and not found anything. Where else could I try?

I like those Kleio. I have lots of melamine picnic stuff from Habitat. I’ve had it a while but am pretty sure I didn’t buy sets and bought the plates and bowls individually.

I have loads of Rice DK melamine plates, bowls and cups. Loads of colours bought over the years.

Rice! That's who I was thinking of.

Thank you for all the recommendations - off to look at them all now.

I have the second set Kleio. They are lovely, but they do crack or break more easily than plastic. My kids have destroyed several of them.

I keep liking sets that will cost me £90+ for just plates and bowls so I need to stop looking!

I've just bought these from JL as everything else seemed garish or expensive. Like you, I need two sets so didn't want to pay £25+ for four plates.

Have you tried places like The Range and Home Bargains or B&M? The Range definitely had a selection when I was in at the weekend and I've had similar stuff before from B&M and Home Bargains.

I’d looked at those. They were my back up.

Yes, the lemon plates are B&M.

Yesterday I did 4 x B&M, Home Bargains, Dunelm, The Range, Asda and online I’d checked all the supermarkets, JL and all the recommendations above.

This morning I walked into Aldi and found a pack of 6 plates and 6 bowls :)) They’re not as pretty as I wanted but they are plates and will do the job required!
