Very nice, Sal!

Honestly doing literally anything to this house will be an improvement  The current kitchen is ludicrous. I will make sure I take lots of before pics.

I really want this Karndean flooring but I have a feeling it will be out of my budget. My house is Edwardian and I have a lot of midcentury furniture, so I think a basketweave would look really good (and I've always loved basketweave parquet).

I love your new door Sal, it’s very smart.

Good news nine!

Our building work has once again ground to a halt and we haven’t seen our builders for about 3 weeks. They always said they weren’t going to take the kitchen roof off until after Xmas but there are other things that they can be doing (and said they would be doing) so it is highly frustrating that they’ve disappeared again especially as the weather has actually been ok.

In the meantime we’ve had the stone part of the house repointed and it looks beautiful, and the stone mason has persuaded us to let him pull all the render off the rest of the house and expose the stone underneath. It’s half the price of redoing the render and should look beautiful except we aren’t entirely sure of the state of the stone under the render.

The bit he’s pulled off already looks a lot more damaged than we thought but he says he can tidy it up and it will look lovely when it’s done. Plus it will hopefully solve the damp problems. I’m very nervous though!
