I got a water tank from Facebook marketplace, it smells of garlic  which is very friendly of me.

Allotment politics are amazing as well Baa, I saw your chat about your weird neighbour on the Thursday thread but my mum has fallen out with her entire committee because some of them have been homophobic bigots about the lesbians who have an allotment across from hers. There's all sorts of strife going on, and it sparked a full scale argument about when people are allowed to burn rubbish and half the site aren't talking to the other half now. All epic.

Good lord  from lesbians to burning rubbish. Only on allotments

Ian, who is diagonally opposite, seems nice and normal.

Alan (yes!), who is next door, seems OK too. We had a nice chat about trying no dig, and building compost heaps.

My first Veg area! I've planted winter squash and celery, the space is for butternut squash.

My wellies have rubbed the skin off me bare legs  I didn't think that through.

Haha! I am pleased with myself for sure! A good chunk of the weeds can just be pulled up really easily in big lumps, so I am thankful for that!

You have a standing invitation to sunny Worthing in which case. All the gin you can drink in recompense :))

I acquired 10 squash plants from MumBaa so I wedged them in and did a bit more weeding, and The Bf came down to patch up my shed, and to join in the weedy fun.

I also realised that the asparagus bed had actual asparagus spears in it, not just giant ferns, so we had some for tea!

Seeing as you didn’t pop by, Baa, I had to channel your spirit and do some weeding myself. I’ve also cut the grass.

Yay for asparagus!

Still tonnes more to do! Thankfully the raspberries on the right hand side basically grow themselves.

Cerise that looks great! And Baa I’m full of admiration.

I really like my garden at the moment. I saw this on FB earlier though and it’s so true, this was me all afternoon today .

That's such a true picture. I also spent today faffing around with the garden. Let Mr Cos plant stuff. Apparently everything must go in a straight line.

Also, my aunt gave me this random grass a few years ago. It now has fronds almost bigger than me.

I quite often go to give one thing a bit of a snip and then I’m still there two hours later with a wheelie bin full

Our pots are all starting to come out and look colourful, A takes his watering responsibility very seriously
