mine were not mistcoated either and I had to scrap a bubbling patch of paint off. It's so annoying

:love2: The kitchen is now Card Room Green.

Unfortunately the walls do need repainting. The fact it’s peeling off in a patch in the hall too - which the kitchen painter had nothing to do with - gives a me good argument that this is the fault of my builder’s decorator. It’s coming off in sheets in the kitchen and you can see where there was a base coat and where she skipped it.

That's crap about the walls but the kitchen units look amazing. I love that colour.

Thank you - I’m so happy with the colour and the semi matt finish.

That's bloody gorgeous though. Can I ask where you got your handles from?

Your cabinets look SO good! You must be delighted. And obviously frustrated about the other decorator.

Thank you! The end result of the whole kitchen (apart from the walls) is exactly what I had in my head.

The handles are from Hairpin Leg Company. They’ve got loads of lovely ones.

Also, fuck you Howdens etc selling people expensive “paintable” kitchens. This is one of their bog-standard Greenwich kitchens and my old kitchen (which I also had painted) was a billion years old and from MFI.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

The kitchen looks lovely. What a shame about the original decorating though.

It’s glorious, and I’m pleased it’s turned out how you imagined. I’m glossing over fixable paint issues.

What are the doors made out of? It looks fantastic, you'd never guess it's not the original finish.

Love the cupboards, nine! Everything looks gorgeous! (What a huge pain about the walls, though).
