Cats are such idiots.

Rocky is keeping me company while I work. She has recently claimed this chair and it was my favourite nap chair but now I can never sit in it as she gets really annoyed. It's covered with a manky blanket in an attempt to stop her clawing the cover to death.

A window seat is perfect for a cat though. Lounging and keeping an eye on your territory at the same time.

Aw, sweet (but hot).

Silly Rocky. George always does that, sits somewhere I'd rather him not so I place a blanket in that spot to stop it getting hairy and clawed, then he never wants to sit there ever again and moves to another surface I'd rather he wouldn't get haired up.

George was flopped on the grass like a black puddle earlier then decided he wanted to be beside me. Here he is flopped, legs akimbo next to my chair.

Little love! My guys are loving the heat and were baking their little brains in a sunbeam earlier.

He’s purring under a cold water soaked (squeezed out) tea towel using my bag as a pillow (and occasional chew toy).

Good idea. This has prompted me to stroke my cats with wet cold kitchen towel. They both seemed to really like it.

Oh my god, yours actually lets you do that! We were just laughing yesterday at the advice for keeping cats cool, like “WHICH cats will (e.g.) actually sit in front of a fan?!” How wrong we were.

My lovable idiot still looks for the warmest place in the house and then lies down looking all pathetic.

Spectrum pretty much lives on the dining room table (don't worry, I change the table cloth every time we use it)

We don't bother trying to impose places they are allowed (except e.g. the fridge and hob, in case those need to be said :))). We just use a lot of disinfectant spray. Lovely table cats!

Tilly is Queen of our house and sits/lies/flops wherever she wants to - fridge and hob excluded. She is pathetic in the hot weather but still rams herself up against you when you sit on the sofa (which she shouts at you to do!)

Silly hot cats

Spectrum is such a beautiful mix of colours. And George is so glossy!

This is my sister's new cat Tiggy. She has a perfectly good home but has moved in with Ros instead. Her owner lives about two miles away across a busy main road and has given up coming to collect her as she just persistently goes back to Ros. I think the ex-owner is a bit annoyed but cats are incalculable.
