Rosco is great! He looks more like a Rosco than Bertie

Re: Dogs
Excellent! I've consulted Twitter too to see if they come up with anything. Radu, Ilie and Ghimbie (short for Ghimbir, Romanian for 'ginger') are up there but Rosco is still a favourite. My friend said "I never thought he looked like a Bertie".
I got a sonic whistle and he heard it! So we are going to start training tomorrow. He has also started going up to people he knows and wagging his tail. He doesn't do it to everyone, but he does like my boss and we've just been to see my old neighbour (who's walked him a few times). He was really pleased to see him.
I love seeing him happy. I love him.

Re: Dogs
Apparently Sybil Roscoe was a good person. Anyway. Roscato he is, Rosco for short. We've had a wonderful weekend - we went with my parents, aunt & uncle for a long forest walk which he loved, and we spent the day with my parents today. Mum gave him a bit of her Mother's Day present "because he's family". Dad helped me bath him and he hated it but was SO good and gentle. He is next to me now sleeping. I promise I will stop wanging on about him but I am so happy.
Vague
- I did! He hasn't said it back yet, but, you know. Give it time. All I want is make him happy, and to see him relaxed and comfortable and safe is The Best.

Re: Dogs
I should make him a little cape!
Well we're ending our third week and I can't remember life without him. He's SUCH a good boy. My parents adore him and he's become best friends with my old neighbour who's been walking him during my Covid. He smells SO much better after regular baths and he looks better - his coat is healthier, he's stopped scratching and his eyes are bright. Mum and dad think that his face and neck were swollen when he arrived, probably due to years of inflammation/fleas, and now the shape of his face has changed (mum pointed out that his collar is now too loose). My major concern is that any chance to escape he will take - and he doesn't come back to me, not that I expect him to, but it's scary. We are trialling a vibrating collar to manage him coming back for food if not to me, and we are also learning 'sit'.
I'm a little concerned that today he has developed a fascination with the gerbils, but hopefully he'll forget about that as he doesn't notice them move very often.
I don't know how to rotate my photos. sorry!

Awww. Just look at him. He looks so comfortable and 'at home'. You're going to have an ace time together.
