Re: Animals strike curious poses
It is very confusing for him, poor love. He will like it when he gets there though.
Do cats go senile? I think Rocky is going doolally. She has always been quite grumpy but yesterday she attacked a blameless Labrador and his owner who committed the heinous crime of walking past her house. Zirk had to go out and rescue them. I've wondered if her eyes are going a bit so she is interpreting things as threats which are not. I don't want to have to keep her in all the time as she likes to sit on the doormat and look at things. But there are already quite a number of dogs whose owners cross the road rather than walk past our house and also, I don't want her to feel scared.

He's also clearing out a load of empty boxes from his cupboard of doom in preparation of me (officially) moving in. The cats are already with him full time.

It took me ages to work out what I was looking at there, the sneaky bugger. :))
Poor Rocky and her terrorised dogs. :(

They do, J is there full time and they have more things to watch outside. Olive has definitely transitioned and totally owns J, she is never far from his lap when he sits down.
Olive also hasn't worked out that the cat in the window at night is her reflection.

I'm glad they are settling in, Skips.
I wonder who is the boss of the bed in my house?

And I feel bad I only ever show pictures of Pandora being a fool so here is Spectrum sitting in a very uncomfortable, ugly place for no reason whatsoever

Cats definitely go senile, Bean. Murphy did. And their senses go so they can get more anxious and defensive.
Teddy is doing well with moving day, all things considered. He cried the whole ride down and has spent most of the day hiding, but when I come to check in, he comes out to greet me and will even do a little cautious exploration. There have even been purrs. He hasn't eaten/drunk water/been to the loo but I think he'll adjust in a day or two.

The poor little thing. In a couple of days he'll be running the place though

Oh, bless him. He'll settle in soon, I'm sure. It must be very confusing for pets when they move house; Loki was discombobulated for a couple of days when I moved here and sprayed in a corner of one room, but settled very quickly once the furniture was unpacked and arranged.

Pandora's face  Spectrum looks very lovely despite the choice of surroundings.
I hope Teddy had a good night and is starting to settle in.
Thomas was having great fun in his new giant box, racing around inside it like a mad thing. Of course as soon as I got the phone out he sits nearly looking at me like I'm a twit.

Aww look at him!
Teddy and I both had a restless night but I think my being nearby in familiar bed and bedding helped him. He spent the night exploring the upstairs rooms and when he was sleeping, if he wasn't on the bed he was sleeping in an open, relaxed position on the landing. Now I'm downstairs he's back in hiding in the bedroom, but I'm pleased and relieved at how he's adjusting so far.

Look at his neat bib and tidy paws.
