Oh my god, kitten brood .

You need a room you can shut them in for the first week, with their litter tray in and bowls and things. (This helps them to feel confident and secure, because they can feel very overwhelmed when presented with a whole new house all in one go.) Then gradually let them in more and more rooms.

I like Feliway plug-ins (better than the spray) too. Will they have been neutered when you get them?

Oh my goodness, they are so cute!

Get a covered litter tray if they are old enough to get in one - far less smelly and messy with the litter. Doggy bags are useful to extract poo without having to change the whole thing every time.

A couple of plastic placemats for under their bowls are easy to clean.

Cat toys to keep them amused, mine like jingly bells and anything with feathers!

All of mine have liked bits of string to chase about, and boxes to jump around in. And bare skin to climb up. :lg:

They were lovely, and very confident and eager to explore. I foresee a very expensive trip to pets at home!

Thanks Ella, MrM said about putting them in their own room for the first week and we can do that, and thank you Hobbes too.

Any recommendations for insurance for them please? I think I'll need to get them to the vet quite soon after we get them for jabs, chipping etc. I don't think they can be neutered til they are a bit bigger.

I'll take this down a bit, but my youngest was absolutely beside himself, he's been asking for so long if we can have a kitten. He's such an animal lover :love2:

That kitten looks resigned .

Animal Friends are good for insurance. We never had any problems with claims and they give any profits to animal charities.

Aw look. They are going to love having them.

Get them checked over by the vet as soon as you can, even if they are not ready for vaccinations yet. Ours do a monthly pet plan which covered them for vaccinations and flea treatment, a discount off neutering, plus four weeks free pet insurance to get you started.

After that I shop around, we are currently with animal friends, but it shouldn't be more than £5 per month per cat.

Cat in “sleeping on something that was bought for him” shocker! (that’s his “Woah, I’m deaf and didn’t hear you coming” face)
