N’s bf is picking up a puppy on Sunday : it’s eight weeks old and has been surrendered to the vet by some absolute arseholes for “behavioural issues”. It was dehydrated, the fuckers. It’s being treated by the vet and should be ok to leave this weekend. Eight weeks old!

He’s probably going to call it Merlin and I’ll share a pic as soon as I can.

It’s good that they gave it up though, if they’re thick enough to think an 8 week old animal will be well behaved then they could have done all sorts of harm.

Luna now rules the roost. She climbed my leg today - painful- for a cuddle and sat her furry backside on me for a while.

The kids got her a Christmas hat but as a toy because I think she’ll kill whoever tries to put it on her.

I agree about the owners giving up the puppy probably being a good deal for the pup. There should be a more stringent process for getting animals, there are loads being dumped at our local shelter for being “too lovable”,”too energetic” or people saying they can no longer look after them.

This has been such a good cat/kitten photo day. How was one actually asleep IN the tree? And then sleeping holding hands (paws)

She has one of these which S heats up for her every night and morning in the microwave, and stays warm for far longer than the 10 hours it claims. But clearly we should have just stocked up on tatty boxes.

We have this pad for Screechy who chooses to stay mostly outside even this weather, and it does keep her little den lovely and toasty.
