Re: Animals strike curious poses
I may have shared him before, but here is Milo, the David Lloyd gym cat.
He either hangs out sleeping on a chair by the reception desk, as in the picture, or plonks himself on the mat just inside the automatic doors to greet people as they arrive.
He is very tolerant of heavy-handed petting from small children and cat-less middle-aged women (ahem).

Milo is adorable, I love a cat with a job. Does he live there or just clock in for his shifts?

Ripley had a bath yesterday and then tolerated being blow dried (she was furious, she hates being wet)

I love that you’re diffusing her. Did she end up with lovely bouncy curls?

She looks like she’s enjoying that! Daisy hates the hairdryer.

She hates the hairdryer but the diffuser is less scary somehow. But Hippy is right, she's got loads of bouncy Curls.

It's been a while but we managed to get her to a vet today. She was so good on the way there and in the vets but she was so nervous she wet herself (and me!) on the way home. We didn't have a carrier so I had wrapped her in a towel and held on tight.bramblerose wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 10:01 am Ella, you big softie!
As mentioned on the daily thread, we appear to have been adopted. She's been here for just over three weeks and shows no signs of leaving  We've seen her around for a while. We weren't going to feed her but she was so skinny and so frightened, we left food out which was gone in seconds. Gradually she got brave enough to venture into the house and eventually, she has moved in!
She's a bit wonky- we think she has been physically abused at some point and very skittish. Everyday is a new day and it takes her a while to remember who we are and that we are nice and will feed her.
She's getting more comfortable with us and her surroundings but is still very jumpy.
She's not chipped and we know she's not been neutered so she's booked in on Wednesday to get done and they'll do her vaccinations and look at her back whilst she's there.
We weren't sure if we were going to keep her but the vet mentioned something about maybe having to keep her for a week and I think that was a deciding factor as we knew she'd be so anxious.
She will be called Myrtle.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

Nice name! We stayed in Myrtle Beach last week. :))
I hope she settles in well, and I'm glad she's found you to take care of her.
