Indi has given us all heart failure by climbing a big tree in search of magpies. Meanwhile, this one was having a wild time in the overgrown flower beds.

This is not a curious pose as such, but I thought I'd share a picture of my pooped out pups. It's pruning season so they're out and about and running after tractors all day.

We've started letting Bella out as she kept making a dash for it (only at the weekend when we're both around as we don't trust that she won't get stuck somewhere and need rescuing). She always comes back in less than an hour, completely exhausted as if she's had a great adventure, even though we're almost certain she doesn't go further than two gardens away.

This is a typical post-adventure flop, followed almost immediately by sleep.

How cute! Does she keep glancing at herself in the mirror to preen her new do?

This is Jack. :)) I drove Mum over to the Dogs Trust Manchester yesterday to collect him after a successful meet and greet last week. He's a 12 year old Patterdale and he's lovely. I have already started calling him Jack Eyebrows. I shall try for more flattering pictures at some point, but he is never still. For a 12 year old dog, he's VERY energetic and inquisitive.

Oh, for clarity - he's Mum's, but also timeshare - now I am without cat I'm back up so she can go out, guilt-free.
