Some exciting news in our house - we are getting a puppy!

One of my best friend’s dog has had six puppies, and we have really fallen for one. What’s been lovely is that we have seen them every week since he was born, so he knows us already. Today we have brought him home for a couple of hours so he can get used to our house and it won’t be such a big leap when he is old enough to leave his mum at the end of the month.

I will have a stair gate so the cats can have their own space, but to be honest they spend most of their time up there. Neither are lap cats, screechy doesn’t like being touched at all apart from an odd scratch behind the ear, and Penny only cuddles when I am in bed. So I can keep them apart reasonably well.

He had a good explore, a good play with a toy we’ve had here for visiting dogs for ages, and now he’s flat out.

So meet Archie - he’s a chocolate brown and white Springador (Spaniel/Labrador cross) and he’s a little cutie.

Oh goodness me Archie is just far too much. Can we have regular updates please?

And did I ever tell you that you’re my favourite turtle Hobbes?

He’s only a baby ! I think it’s great that he’s doing visits now so it will be easier for him to leave his mum, bless him.

Archie is ridiculously sweet. :love2:

I also love Bella in the spotlight. She’s got the most hilarious expressions.

Maggie is looking really quite grey now which makes me feel a bit sad, but she’s had a really excellent morning guarding the bebés (her full time job, she takes it very seriously) and chasing leaves in the park. She’s a very good girl.

I’m not worried about the visible phone number as it isn’t actually one. We’re not trying to lose her on purpose. :look:

The baby started walking a few weeks ago and Maggie does the same thing she did with Pete, shadows her all the time to make sure she’s ok.

She will still snaffle any unattended food EVER and still can’t be trusted near picnics so at least that’s not changed with age. :))

I was reunited with Tiny Cat (aged 17) this weekend. I love her so much :love2: She’s looking much better than last time I saw her in the spring.

Also Maggie and young Archie
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

I don't remember seeing Maggie before, she's lovely. As is Tiny Cat. And Archie is a cutie.

I took a picture of Willow last night that keeps making me laugh. Hang on, I'll find it..
