She's a stray that's been adopted by next door. She was pregnant last year and they kept one of the kittens so she's stayed around.

They know she'll be around somewhere but she's quite happy in either house, as is the kitten/boy cat.

I definitely think female cats are more trouble. Boys seem to be generally more laid back in my experience.

This one, for example, realised I'd dared to hold S's hand. So she had to get on the couch to remind us that he's actually her property. Apologies for the terrible photo. :lol:

I concur about female cats being harder work. My boys always just seemed so grateful to have a warm lap, food and toys whereas every female cat has believed they are the Queen of the house and that I was their loyal staff that they had to put up with.

Where we live there is an old English sheepdog and also an Afghan hound and both owners sometimes put the floof in a scrunchie/hair ribbon. :love:
