It's Pig Bonding Day! :toot: So far so good. Lots of bum sniffing and clambering but no aggression from any of them. The girls are not giving Otis an easy time ( ) and are giving him short shrift every time he tries to mount them, but they are eating and grooming together, which are good signs, and there has been no actual fighting.

Yes, rodents.

I am now watching a stand off between Otis and Olga, who had previously seemed to bond through the bars of their separate runs. Olga has the upper hand though, and Otis seems quite nervous, which is the best way round for long term success, but I think I'll separate them again overnight and give them more supervised time tomorrow.

This has given me guinea pig brood. I loved my guinea pigs, I had a brown and white one called Gordon, then a tufty ginger one called Cuthbert.

Gordon and Cuthbert My childhood pig was also a tufty ginger (called Winnie).

It went really well. I'm not going to risk an overnight so they're now back in their respective homes, which is a shame as Berty cleaned it this morning, and now Otis will have to move into the girls' territory, but I'd like to watch them some more before leaving them to it. All the advice I've seen suggests if the first couple of hours go well it's unlikely to go south after that

A very tentative dog on the dog sofa. So far Lucy has tried to play with him but he's just pootling around taking it all in.
