They caught it by accident. He was having blood work as he’s been vomiting bile early morning (got than under control with a course of Losec) and apparently they weren’t even meant to do the heartworm test but did (we reconfirmed the diagnosis with additional testing)

What a worry for you, BD looks perfectly chill though, I hope that continues.

It's great that they caught it. Especially if he was taking preventatives for heartworm. Another good reason to hate mosquitoes.

He’s still a bit woozy but his pupils are back to their normal size. There’s lots of flopping on the middle of the floor, bless.

He had at least one tooth removed (reports differ whether it was one in the end or the two planned).

Awww. Poor lad.

Tiggy's a bit off-colour at the moment, which is a bit of a worry. I noticed him making gulping noises on Monday evening. At first, we thought he was nauseous and the vet prescribed something for an upset stomach. But, the following day, it seemed to me more as if he had either a sore throat or was full of mucous. :tmi: :look: I took him back to the vet, who agreed it was a possibility, so prescribed pred, hoping it would settle any inflammation and help with Tiggy's appetite. We're feeding him white fish - which, needless to say, he doesn't mind at all. :))

Here's a nice photo of Tiggy and Bones in a rare quiet moment. We think they're quite fond of each other, but Tiggy gets a little annoyed if play gets too vigorous.

Yes!!! It only took 20 years, but we're now in the real house, with doors and rooms and everything!
Pépito is still getting used to it. There used to be only one door to miaow at to get in or out, now there is a choice of 8.
