Re: Time For A Change
There's no limit to paid holiday, which really just means 'nobody is counting' as obviously it's not really unlimited or they'd be paying folk for nowt!
There's pros and cons, as obviously the work still needs to be done but there is no danger of me not taking at least 25 days I'm currently entitled to on top of BHs

Re: Time For A Change
My offer came through today so I resigned for the first time since 2011. That was to my manager’s manager due to holiday then too.
I’ll be reporting to somebody who wasn’t part of the recruitment as she’s one of the people I know. I’m fairly sure she’s in Somerset too, which might be nice if we can meet for a coffee now and then.
And additional nice thing - I drop from a contracted 40 hours per week to 38.

Well done Wendy.
My application is in and I have been told to expect an invitation to interview very soon which should be interesting due to massive work events this week and next and now I’m being :bob: about it all
Any tips for being interviewed by a friend? And one who knows you really, really well, both positives and negatives?

Re: Time For A Change
I’ve been interviewed by a friend who knows me well before and it’s weird. You have to pretend they know nothing about you and your experience and be really explicit in your answers. I actually acknowledged it out loud at the start of the interview which helped me. Good luck!
