Good luck Poverina. Power stance in the loo beforehand and dinosaur in the handbag, remember.

Good luck Pov!

(Honestly the idea of doing the Power Stance before an interview is killing me  )

Thank you, It's done now. :relief:

I think it went as well as it could have done - only one of the competency questions I think my answer was a *little* ropey on, but she asked me a couple of supplementary questions and I think I probably bought it back round as best I could.

It was something like "Tell me about a time when you discovered an issue that was having a high impact and it had to be resolved at short notice" and my mind just went blank  (It was straight after "Tell me about a time when you had to deliver something under high pressure and short timescales" and before "Tell me about a time when you had to perform and make difficult decisions under pressure") I swear to god they ask they same question in various formats just to fuck with your head

It's going to be a two-stage interview process and I'll know by Wednesday next week if I've got to the next stage.

My annoying colleague (who was in a RIGHT NARK earlier on this week, which I suspected was due to discovering he hadn't made the shortlist, is all full of perk today), and it turns out he's got an interview now. I am assuming my boss has decided to just give him the opportunity to interview to reduce his general FACEACHE, but he has the last slot of the day, and she'll have done 4 interviews by then so I suspect she'll have had enough. :mean: He keeps trying to get information out of me and being all "buahahaha interview CHUMZ" with me, the nob. :kind:

Well I’m going to break the streak sadly, as I didn’t get the job I went for, with the extra two days. Apparently I was a very strong candidate and it was between me and one other, but she has more experience of everything in their sector which is fair enough!

I’m part disappointed because I had started spending the extra money in my head  , part relieved that I can swan about as a part timer for a bit longer yet. At least I went for it and gave it my best shot.

That's a shame Hobbes.

That really annoys me Pov, the squeaky wheel and all that won't do anything to dial down his sense of entitlement.

When do you hear the decision?

I’m sorry Hobbes.

I should find out today if I’ve got a second interview. The last two interviews were yesterday. An old workmate who is quite chummy with my boss has gone for the role too (and is already at that level) so I think she could be strong competition. Equally, I wouldn’t mind if she got it as she isn’t an arsehole (and if I don’t get it, whoever does is going to be my manager).

Basically, as long as I get a second interview and my colleague doesn’t, I am not bothered :kind:
