Skips I'm sorry. Keep hanging on.

So, first of all, thank you all for your thoughts. Yesterday I went to see one of my best friends who knows all of the situation here. I cried at him as well since he is pretty emotionless which was actually quite helpful because I think that helped me figure out what was bothering the most. His advice was to apply as well and talked about how not applying might set me back. He's also very heavily involved with this project that I've mentioned and he knows just how unenthusiastic I am about it all.

And then this morning- I couldn't get out of bed. The alarm went off but as per usual I only turned on my PC at the last minute and I wouldn't have done that if I didn't have our morning departmental meeting- I had to attend to let my peer know that P wasn't attending. After that I went back to bed (luckily my work today can rally be done at any time and I don't mind working a bit later into the evening) and dozed until about 11:30. Which also helped me figure out that it's really my mental health that's holding me back and I've got to go back to my GP and persuade him to give me something to help me through this time.

I think you’ve got to go for it, Hazey.

I’ve got an interview for a job I’m not sure I want, but have to perform brilliantly at because I don’t want them thinking I’m a dick. But there’s a 5 minute presentation and I don’t understand the question. :panic:

Can we help with decoding the question, Pip? I totally see you as a great presentation person.

Haze, see your doctor but I really think you should apply. You’re a super capable woman.

I started my new job yesterday. With a completely different job title to what was touted. But it should be good. Remind me of this when I’m full on stressing about things in a few weeks.

Have they done a bait and switch on you, Est?

Pipster, I bet you are an excellent presenter! See if we can help with the question.

It’s about capturing learning within an organisation. “How would you capture learning from colleagues & present your findings?” I can do the external research no bother.

Is it knowledge management stuff? Organisational learning?

That’s exactly what it is. I’ve got a book, and some vague plans to think about MoSCoW.

Well done Hazey.

Actually, it’s a bit clearer what’s expected now they’ve updated the position title :)

I'm pleased you have applied for the job and you are seeing a doctor Hazey.

I have an interview tomorrow for a job which is a 20 minute walk from home! There is no mention of salary and it's a (pretty basic) admin role. I suspect I need to take a paycut (most jobs round here don't pay as well as the one I'm currently in) but what do I say if they ask? Go for the average local salary?

If you tell them what you're currently on you'll never get a pay rise?

But if you know that likely the salaries are lower in the new job, they may remunerate according to your current salary hence avoiding a potential drop...
