Oh yes sorry, well done Lora too. I hope you can engineer (ha!) a workable solution. You deserve this.

The interview didn't happen on Thursday due to technical issues so it went ahead today. Think it went ok. Hard to tell over the phone. I should know by the end of the week if I'm through to the next stage which will consist of an onsite for half a day to include two interviews, present a mock QBR and do a mock demo and then a 30 min chat with the CEO.

It's insane, isn't it? Oh well. It will be experience if nothing else.

I got through to the next round. Thankfully they have asked me to meet with the hiring manager first before I go onsite so it's not as daunting.

So I had the second interview with the hiring manager and it went ok. Heard nothing back despite following up with the recruiter two weeks ago so I assume it was a no

I had another interview on Monday that went really well and I had a second interview with them yesterday which went so well that they want me to chat to the CEO tomorrow evening. It's a small company but the package would be great. Again, downside is travel so I would need to negotiate flexibility or WFH options with them before anything is confirmed so we shall see.

Olive, tell us more about your freelancing. It's sounds exciting!

I hope you can make it work for you!

It's so rude not to hear anything after investing so much time in interviews.

Good luck negotiating, Jupiter! I hope you can come to a workable arrangement. I also agree that it is so rude to not bother coming back to you after making you do so much work.

I started an analytics certification as I figured it would help give me a bit more online retail experience. I needed a live website to practice on so I‘d planned to help my friend get her new website off the ground and build a more targeted business plan including her online marketing etc.

It turns out that the boys school is looking for someone to do similar so I start after spring break! I mentioned this to my neighbour who runs an online boutique and had a call with her and her business partner yesterday to start work on their website! I’m properly excited about this one as my experience is mainly in commercial/ retail sales and this is the area I’d like to move into eventually.

I’ve also signed up to a small business networking event in a months time to start finding more opportunities. I don’t know where this is going but having small flexible projects like this on the go is ideal right now especially as they can be done remotely and from anywhere.

I think I need to fully understand the ins and outs of properly freelancing if this is a route I go down long term.
