I'm really hoping we can fit in a trip to RTB as it was so good when I was there before. We have booked Hawksmoor for the Saturday night so it looks good. We might do burgers on Friday night so maybe RTB or Almost Famous on Pip's recommendation.

While this thread is near the top it has reminded me. I recently stayed at Hotel Motel One Manchester, the Royal Exchange one and it was really nice. Reasonable, nice bar area, quiet rooms and very comfy bed. Just in case anyone comes back to the thread for hotel recs at any point. :))

If you're doing Almost Famous, the one at the Great Northern is much better than the one on the High St in the Northern Quarter. For some reason, you can't hear yourself speak in the one in the NQ, although it's in a better place for drinks afterwards/before.

Solita in the Northern Quarter is also lovely for burgers etc.

I am genuinely not bothered. J is the one who wanted to see them, I was happy to go along too but equally, I am not too upset that they have cancelled ;)

Bats had somewhat put me off the location

I had a real and properly banging curry when I was in Manchester. It was at the Corriander in Chorlton and is in my top two of all time.

Not cheap but worth every penny.

Coriander is nice but if I was staying in central Manchester I wouldn't be arsed trailing out to Chorlton for it.

Speaking as someone who has lived in Chorlton. :)
