Show your (craft)work

Incorporating hobbies, computer games, Verm's Interesting Links and anything else you can think of excluding football and other spectator sports because these belong in the Sport section, but allowing sports you play yourself with your own body as that counts as a pastime.

I’m messing about with some thread to make light earrings for Betty. This is the the first design and now I’m off to try something else.

I hope I can make my Baby Jesus look a bit less like Casper the Friendly Ghost :))
Love the nativity wreath Morgs! Where did you find the pattern?

She left it out when we went away and Snowdrop claimed the scarf as a cat toy.

I’m now prioritising two outfits for the girls. Sproglette needs a 40s outfit so I’m making a ditsy floral dress with a collar. Elvis needs a 70s one so she’s getting flares and a floaty top.

More earrings here. The centre of these need blocking and some beads adding.

How many ears does she have Kleio?

I’m not happy with this as we now know that she needs a broad shoulder adjustment! I managed to snip something by accident too but it’s under the collar, which doesn’t sit as well as it could. As it’s only for 1 day and doesn’t fit well enough to keep, I’m not hemming it because I’m lazy.

She claims there are 365 days in the year so she needs a pair for every day

The dress looks great. Especially if it’s just for one day. Will you cut it up and reuse it once that day is over?

My mum made this but I advised on nearly every row as it wasn’t the easiest of patterns and I chose the colour so I’m claiming 10%.

That’s lovely, well done to your mum!

It’s some cheap cotton I had in my stash but yes, I’ll cut up and repurpose the bulk of it. Definitely reuse the zip too!

I’m not sure if you can see everything here but I’ve been very busy the last week or so making most of this.

The hat was already made but I added the beading and pompom trim.

Then I made her 3 of the bracelets and added 6 handmade earrings to the elf ears (plus did her make up this morning)

I crocheted the wristlet thing, the underbust corset, the belt, coin pouch and the little mushroom bag. She’s wearing a bigger mushroom bag on her back and I made the sheath for the knife on her belt.

In the pouch are pirate coins with homemade stickers that I cut out and she glued.

It’s been a mission 😂😂

She looks amazing!

Finished the 70s outfit for the school thing with a couple of days spare!

Flared trousers and a handily named “I Love the 70s” top!

She looks really happy with it!

Betty was allowed to accessorise her uniform today for the end of Pride week and she asked for “loads” of rainbows. Because of other plans I started about 10pm last night and I’ve had 3 hours sleep.

My sleep is all mucked up at the moment so it wasn’t too bad. I’m more worried about how I’m going to stand for 2 hours at sports day this afternoon. I can sit and crochet easily but I’m still a bit weak on my legs.

I found this part finished in a bag, so I’ve sewn it up and lined it.

I also made a denim skirt, pink t-shirt and floaty kimono style top for Sproglette. Elvis got a t-shirt and denim shorts with pockets (this was the best bit :)) ). Sproglette and I also have new post-swimming joggers.

Goodness Wendy, you've been really productive! I am yet again in awe of your sewing skills. The bag is ace - what kind of size is it? I'm on the lookout for a nice bag pattern...

It’s 25cm x 30cm, if you’d like me to send a pic of pattern?
