Well done to R, especially if he was thrown in at the very deep end on purpose. He must be proud.

That's very good! . I restart my dressmaking class this evening and have chosen a really skiddy material to work with.

I love how you choose a difficult project to test his commitment. It's a lovely colour.

 Insufferable! But he is looking forward to starting his trousers. I'm getting my old Husqvarna Freesia sewing machine serviced for him to use. He used my Pfaff for most of the shirt, but the Husqvarna does lovely, even one-step buttonholes.

I spent all evening making another felt wreath. I’m going to give this one to my sister and make another for me. But not until the next rainy bank holiday.

Thanks all. I'd meant to come back and update on the trousers, but - having made a good job of a sample fly zip - he came down with Covid on Friday and was feeling a bit grim over the weekend. I'm sleeping in my sewing room until he tests negative.

A couple of outfits for Sproglette. The play suit was for Elvis but she’s not keen and her sister pounced.

I haven’t done so much with woven fabric in ages!

I’ve finished tonnes over the weekend. Some was WIP but a lot has been started this weekend.

There was a romper each for me and the girls, a plain sandy coloured t-shirt for me and white shorts for under Elvis’s school dress.

I had a black linen remnant that I decided would make a good skirt with built-in shorts for decency.

I had a good sort through offcuts and also rustled up a sleeveless top for Sproglette and some cropped trousers for Elvis.

I have a few bits cut out but I can see the end of the summer list in sight!

You put me to shame. Someone on my dressmaking course offered up for free your culotte pattern! It is mine!

Ah that's brilliant, it's meant to be!

I've finally got round to having a look at the halterneck pattern I picked up when with you. I was struggling to work out how to do the full bust adjustment until I realised it's sort of like a princess seam, and I have instructions in a book for that!
