Show your (craft)work

Incorporating hobbies, computer games, Verm's Interesting Links and anything else you can think of excluding football and other spectator sports because these belong in the Sport section, but allowing sports you play yourself with your own body as that counts as a pastime.

I don't know how well it would work, but I'd try putting chalkboard paint on the offending areas, which, if it works (hopefully someone else will know that!) would hide the text and allow you to label contents.
That's a great idea, thanks. Does anyone know of chalkboard paint would stick to tin? Whittards make a habit of this - I had a really pretty tin that house their Christmas hot chocolate, but again, the branding and instructions/ingredients are part of the tin, which made it much more difficult to repurpose.

H1ppy, the ribbon idea is good too, but as I haven't decided what to do with it, I don't want to cover it with materials that are likely to get grubby if picked up with wet (or greasy/floury hands)

ETA - just seen your second post, H1ppy. I'll see if I can get a small tin - I think I would just paint all of the tins, rather than just cover the offending areas, but I could start by seeing if partial covering would work.

I just looked on Amazon as the suggestion made me wonder if I could do similar with the shit-ton of repurposed glass jars I’ve got. There are plenty there which are listed as good for painting on metal.

The reason I suggested masking parts off is that I’d still want to keep some of the pattern if it were me.

You can buy chalkboard stickers too, but I don't know how washable the jars / tins would then be (presumably not very).

Yeah I have the stickers too. I think they’d get muckier faster and you wouldn’t be able to wash them in the same way.

I have ordered a tin of paint, a paintbrush and a chalk pen, so I will soon be repurposing anything that sits around long enough :)).

Thanks for the idea - I will post the finished result.

Ha, I have three of those small magnetic tins on my fridge :)) Only with obvious things like cardamom or pink peppercorns though.

You can always paint a little primer on first.

I found a pattern that is knit fabric bodice and woven fabric skirt, which will use up leftovers from my Christmas dress and other makes. If it works it will be even snazzier than the animal top..
I couldn’t be arsed with two hems but it’s finished now.

Are you enjoying it, or is it something you want to finish, if you know what I mean.

I love Elvis' dress. And your mini plants, Baa!

I'm still working on my yoke. I have finally managed to print the pattern though which should speed me up a bit. :fc:

I've made 8 plants, and have another 20ish to go. Then arrange it all, and build the frame and add more stuff
