I have to do *something* with the fabric I buy, and all the remnants and scraps!

Today Elvis got a muscle top and Sproglette a play suit. Plus I finished off a load of scrunchies.

They look fab OTH.

I’ve managed to get the ends sewn in 15 minutes before giving the gift!

Love those wall hangings OTH! Great scarf Cerise!

My current project is a blanket/throw I'm crocheting to drape over our new sofa. It's the Nuts About Squares blanket but I'm doing it in my own colour scheme, to match the rugs and cushions in our lounge.

That's a gorgeous throw, Dutchie. Good luck with it. (I love the colours used in the ad.)

R's son's fiancée, L, is just about to have a baby boy (I'm sure I've told everyone this, several times). But, really, he's full-term and could arrive any day. :disco: L is South African and has done the baby's room up with a bit of a safari theme. Having been thwarted in my plan to make some baby clothes, I thought I might try my hand at some amigurumi animals. I'm a very average crocheter. The last time I made anything was about 6 years ago. Is amigurumi difficult? I have access to ravelry.com and YouTube  and would like to make something like this.

If you can do a double crochet (single crochet in uS terms), decrease and increase you can do amigurumi.

OTH, get yourself some stitch markers if you haven't already got some. It's easy to miss the start of the rounds.

I use Kirby grips/Bobby pins instead of stitch markers.

Or you can just tie a small piece of a different colour yarn in

Thanks for those ideas for counting stitches. I'm sure that's what went wrong with my 'too small' hat.

My mum has offered to block them for me, which I think will be very necessary for some of the patterns...

WOW!!! They're gorgeous. What a lot of work (and ends)!

I'm crocheting in the ends as I go, so I only have 1 end per square to work away when I'm finished but hopefully in can crochet over those as I crochet all the squares together. I'm really enjoying this as no two squares are the same colour-wise and it's max 3 squares of the same pattern each time.

I haven’t done much sewing recently as there comes a point when we all have enough clothes for now.

I do need a couple of plain vest tops though so I’ve been washing fabric and today’s unexpected free day meant I decided to crack on. My overlocker isn’t right though so I’m taking it for its first service. At least I should have it back prior to my free weekend when I planned to crack on.
