The light Garland!
I’ve been at a craft cafe today and I made two ‘moon catchers’ with a view to photographing and popping online for orders.
I sold both within minutes of making so I’ve only got crappy pictures I managed to take there

So the girls wanted to get a family friend 3 year old ‘a raspberry cos she loves them’. The Jellycat one was out of our budget but I found this crochet pattern instead. Her brother is getting the rabbit in a sleeping bag.
I struggled with the face of the doll. I promise all previous attempts were even worse than this one.

Everybody’s crafting is lovely!
I went to an art class this evening and we did Lino cutting and mono printing. I got blue on my yellow when I was walking back.

Those moon catchers are beautiful, Kleio. Will you make more?
Yes definitely, they're a lot of fun to make.
The raspberry is excellent - those stitches take ages!
Your Lino printing is so crisp Cerise!

These reusable face scrubbies are dead quick and easy.

I got up this morning and did some mending and finishing. I also made a draught excluder stuffed with P’s old T-shirt’s and an ironing board cover minus the slime-ruined bit.
The penguin top is for me, and I made my penguin-mad sister an infinity scarf with leftover fabric.
The girls have got a dress and tunic (Elvis and Sproglette respectively) in the gingerbread house fabric, with a dress for our friends’ little girl as part of her Christmas present.

I really enjoyed my mosaic workshop, the instructor was again excellent and went off on a lovely rant about Boris Johnson at one point.
This is what I made (difficult to photograph due to either being in shadow or horribly reflective, so I might take a daytime one also).

Wow! The mosaic and the ring are fab.
Will you use the mosaic as an inset in tiles or something else, Hippy?

Thanks Wendy.
I would love to but it's quite expensive for the day. It was sort of a treat for me and a friend to do together. She wants to make her partner a wedding ring but the next two sessions (Feb and march 22) are fully booked.
I would love to find somewhere cheaper. They do a more reasonable 6 week course so I might consider that after my dress making course.

Having look at the price of tools, I can see why courses are also expensive!
I picked up a lino print kit at the weekend but am saving it (and the two I bought online afterwards from the same retailer*) for the Christmas holidays, I think.
*cosy craft club - a monthly subscription that is a different craft each week. I'm tempated to sign up next year but for now picked up a brush lettering kit and a block printing kit at reduced prices.

Just seen these on FB marketplace. I thought it was a good idea and might inspire some of the seaglass collectors!
