If only someone had thought to think logically about the situation, Smal! Thank heavens for elderly white men to set us straight

I remember that happening, Smun! Poor Jack. It makes sense that the doctor would try and diagnose the nearest known illness because no one knew it was a thing, really.

Oh really?

I am still convinced about a couple of people I know who were ill before March. One was a friend's brother, who took a school trip to Italy and all the adults got "the flu".

I am back at work on Monday. Can't wait. :look:

Isn't there a big court case brewing about a ski resort in Austria that is more or less accused of triggering the pandemic in Europe.

S, J and I were all really ill at the start of this year. It took S forever to bounce back from it. My dad too. I don't suppose we'll ever know if it was covid.

That's interesting about Italy. Mr R and I both got ill at the end of Jan and he had a really nasty cough while I just had a horrible headache and a temp. I'm sure it was just my annual cold but there's always that doubt.

I had a marketing email today from a hotel in Shropshire that we stayed in once and it says this
Shropshire is now in Tier 2, so we are very pleased to be open and welcoming guests from all Tier 1 or 2 regions
Which implied they're going to police it. But there are eg some bits of London with a Kent postcode (like Richmond says it's Surrey but legally it's a London Borough) so that'll be fun and games.

I was ill at the end of Jan and looking back I’m sure it was the virus.

I signed up my interest in a vaccine trial at work.

Is that different to the NHS vaccine register thing? I'm dying for them to ask me but nothing so far :uhh:

I feel like the only person who doesn't suspect they had covid last winter

Can she/you not tell him that she/you don’t want to take the risk and that she’s looking forward to seeing him when it’s all calmed down? You could be the bad guy for her if she’s uncomfortable telling him her own feelings.
He's been told, repeatedly. Last response was that he'll head down and Bambs can chose if she wants to see him. Doesn't see this for the guilt-trip it is. Slow handclap for the Parent of the Year.

My Mum ended up in hospital after a 'mystery virus' back in Jan/Feb. I suppose we'll always wonder.

Didn't you have antibodies?

This is one article, I've not seen anything on the BBC yet but the claim is based on blood samples collected before the peak.

It came through my work update email, I think it’s related to one of the trials but I don’t know which.

They also told us where they will administer the official vaccine when it’s rolled out to NHS staff and I can see members of the public rocking up and queuing if/when they find out it’s there.

I know I definitely had it, thanks to the antibody test, but who knows for sure when.

Is there anything I can sign up to now I know I've had it that would be useful?

How might one do that? I have never donated blood because I have a tendency to faint but I feel in the circumstances I might have to get over that. :))

Well done!

They will phone you and ask you how much you weigh almost as often as track & trace called you.
