I guess technically I’m allowed out now and never needed to isolate :ella: These stupid fucking rules. I’m also seeing my mum and meant to be going to Legoland so I’m definitely going to make sure I’m testing negative or I’ll be cancelling.

I might have to wait to crack on with the toblerone though as I can’t taste much at the moment :(

Just did a test and it’s negative. WTF? I was strongly positive on Friday. I think I’ll have to do another one, I’m not sure I trust this :look:

Maybe wear a decent mask (not a cloth one) if you're going to be indoors?

I don’t think it’s that unusual to test negative before the ten days are up - or at least based on the people I know seven/eight days seems about average.

The rules here are you’re clear to go about your business 7 days after testing positive. And you don’t need to test negative to leave isolation. So to me that sounds totally fine, Chicky.

Don’t the rules here say that Day 6 onwards you are fine to mix without testing, albeit without licking CV people?

This is what I've just been reading, its all pretty vague but they definitely say avoid people for first 5 days.

I noticed my typo before you posted.

When A had it in January he was still testing positive on Day 11 but all the advice was to ignore it and crack on, so I’m assuming that the link between positive LFTs and infectiousness isn’t necessarily as robust as we would like.

He arranged a babysitter yesterday for the kids, though a few friends offered to help out too. I’ve been out with the kids for most of the day because I had a ton of stuff to do, but after yesterday I’m physically hobbling around.

So far I’m still negative. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

My Dad tested positive this morning. We were all in London together for the weekend. I'm still testing negative for the moment, but I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time.
Dad's feeling OK at the moment, just coldy. I'm relieved he's still with my sister though and not home alone.

Oh god, Zooms. Fingers crossed it stays minimal for your dad and that you avoid it altogether.

E tested positive yesterday (not a huge surprise) and S tested positive this morning. S caught it from his dad who spent 20 minutes in a car with him, coughing and spluttering, before admitting that he’s been feeling rubbish for a few days since he flew home from holiday. During that time he’d had two days at the cricket and played golf with his mates :verm: Fucking idiot.

Thanks Edith.

God, S's dad is the pits, isn't he? What a gobshite. I hope E and S are both ok and the rest of you manage to avoid it.

That's so selfish, Edith. How are you doing now?

Hope your dad is ok Zoom. You might escape - my dad tested positive a few days ago and my mum's stayed negative. They're in separate rooms since the test but she's still bringing him food etc so I guess it's possible to stay clear despite contact.

I have just joined the positive population. I've been shivering in bed tonight, coughing, sore throat, runny nose and I can't sleep so just tested and got a very strong line.

Oh bugger, Dics, sorry to hear that. Is this the first time you’ve had it? (Sorry if not, I forget). Hope you have some soothing drugs to help your symptoms. Take them! Is Monk ok?
