That’s amazing, Tex! Well done.
I haven’t been shredding but I have been following this thread with great interest hoping it would motivate me.

Re: Shred 2019
I just looked at my body fat %age measured by Fitbit and marked on the first day of each level of shred. Level 2 was definitely the most effective, no wonder it feels the hardest.

Re: Shred 2019 (also feat. Ripped in 30 & 6 week 6 pack)
6 week 6 pack starts today. There are 2 levels and I’m planning to do each one for 3 weeks. 5 workout days and 2 “rest” days (30 minutes low intensity rowing) per week.
L1W1D1: I’m not sure what to make of it yet. The presentation doesn’t seem as polished as shred, I haven’t checked the dates but I think this must be an earlier DVD. It starts by going through the circuit quite slowly and then repeats at double time. It was the usual car crash of trying to work out what I was actually supposed to be doing and which side I’d already done. By the end I definitely felt like I’d had a cardio workout but I can’t feel anything in my abs at all. It’s possibly just because I wasn’t working hard enough while I tried to follow along so I will reserve judgment.

I cant get on with 6W6P because it's so frantic in the second circuit. I agree about it being less polished too.
I don't think I've got ripped in 30. I've got no more trouble zones I think and I find that much better than 6W6P.

I mostly chose 6W6P as it was down to £3 on Amazon so it’s no great loss if I give up on it but I’ll try to give it a fair go. Frantic is a good description.

Re: Shred 2019 (also feat. Ripped in 30 & 6 week 6 pack)
L1W1D2: Having said it was good cardio but I couldn’t feel it much as muscle pain I have spent all afternoon wincing every time I move as my back is really tight. It’s workout muscle pain rather than any kind of injury though so I have pushed through again this evening. I found it much easier to follow this time, even on the frantic stage which meant I ended up feeling like I’d had even more of a cardio workout. I suspect I won’t be able to move tomorrow

L1D1 of 6W6P. I enjoyed this as a lot of the moves were modified versions of what I was doing in the final level of Ripped so I didn't have too much flapping around not knowing what I'm doing and I felt really strong. I think I'll do level 1 for 2 weeks and level 2 for 4 weeks. However, I might revise that if level 2 is mental!

Well done. My back is really aching today, my abs not at all.
How many days a week are you aiming for?

Thanks! Is that your lower back? I'm so rigid so I don't like the superman - although I was doing the same thing with weights in Ripped - because my back doesn't bend backwards.
Five days a week is the plan but I expect the odd week it may only be convenient to do four.

It’s more around the middle of my back. I think it’s the side lunges where you lean over with the weight which might have done it.

Ah yes, I took it really easy on those because it's a side lunge that is the worst for making my hamstring ping.

They’re not tremendous for my shoulder either.

I didn't get how to do those at all! In that, I've never felt like I'm using the muscles I'm meant to beTexaco Shirley wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 5:54 pm It’s more around the middle of my back. I think it’s the side lunges where you lean over with the weight which might have done it.

I find them very unsettling. There’s always a small chance I won’t be able to get up straight again

Oh Tex! I've just remembered I wanted to ask you something. How do you get your fat % on your fitbit?

We’ve got the Fitbit aria scales.
